About GOULDSBORO volunteer fire co.
Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Company is a non-profit organization located in Gouldsboro Pennsylvania, established in 1946. We are 100% volunteer with 22 members.
We cover 27 square miles which is the entire area of Lehigh Township and a portion of Clifton and Coolbaugh Townships which spans three counties: Wayne, Lackawanna, and Monroe. We have one station, located on Route 507 (Main Street) in Lehigh Township. Our permanent population of residents is 3200 which increases tremendously over the summer months.
Annually, we run 150 to 200 calls which includes dwelling fires, motor vehicle accidents, fire alarms, ice rescues, public services calls such as pumping basements, animal rescues, and everything in between.
We run mutual aid with Thornhurst Volunteer Fire & Rescue and Covington Fire Company in Lackawanna County, Greene-Dreher Fire Company in Wayne County, and Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company and Tobyhanna Army Depot Fire Department in Monroe County.
