Welcome to Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Company, a nonprofit organization established in 1946. We are 100% volunteer with 22 members. We cover 27 square miles which is all of Lehigh Township and a portion of Clifton & Coolbaugh Townships which spans 3 counties: Wayne, Lackawanna & Monroe. We run out of 2 stations, our main station on Route 507 in Lehigh Township and our Clifton Township Substation on Route 435 in Clifton Township. Our permanent population is 3200 which increases tremendously during the summer months.
We run 150-200 calls annually which includes dwelling fires, motor vehicle accidents, fire alarms, ice rescues, public service calls such as pumping basements, animal rescues and everything in between. We run mutual aid with Thornhurst Volunteer Fire & Rescue and Covington Fire Company in Lackawanna County, Greene-Dreher Fire Company in Wayne County and Coolbaugh Township Volunteer Fire Company and Tobyhanna Army Depot Fire Department in Monroe County.
If you need us, just call!
Proceeds from all of our fundraisers directly benefit the Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Company, which then benefits YOU! It is with your continued support that we are able to serve the community. We are 100% volunteer and there whenever you need us. We thank each of you for your support in everything we do.
